The sixty-second annual Missouri Conference on History will be held March 11-13 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel St. Louis-Chesterfield. The conference, hosted by Lindenwood University, brings together scholars, teachers, and other professional historians to share in the presentation of research, to exchange information on teaching and curriculum, to consider ways to promote the welfare of the profession and general interest in history, and to discuss other concerns common to all historians.

Registrations made after March 6 do not guarantee meals at the keynote or the award luncheons.

All presenters and participants must register for the conference. Submission of the registration form is a commitment to attend the conference, and reimbursement will not be issued for cancellations. Another member of your organization is welcome in your place if circumstances necessitate.

Welcome Reception

National Museum of Transportation, Earl C. Lindburg Automobile Center

The sixty-second annual Missouri Conference on History kicks off in the in the Earl C. Lindburg Automobile Center at the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis. Join us for refreshments while enjoying over 100 years of automobile history. Featuring over 200 items, the road vehicle collection housed at the Lindburg Center includes rare items like a 1901 St. Louis Motor Carriage Co. automobile and the only operational Chrysler turbine car. A free shuttle will be available to transport guests from the conference hotel to the reception venue.

Keynote Luncheon

Dr. Walter Johnson, Winthrop Professor of History and Professor of African and African American Studies at Harvard University, will present "Empire and the Limits of Revolution: St. Louis during the Civil War."

The keynote luncheon is sponsored by Lindenwood University, the University of Missouri–St. Louis, and Saint Louis University.

Thursday Evening Reception

6:00–7:30 p.m.

Gateway to Dreams Business Lodge, Chesterfield Mall in Sears Wing, first floor

Cost: Included in registration

Enjoy a relaxed evening with refreshments at the Gateway to Dreams Business Lodge just down the road from the conference hotel. Network with other history professionals and learn about great history and humanities programs taking place in Missouri.
