Drs. Priscilla Dowden-White and Lawrence O. Christensen at the 2015 Missouri Conference on History

The Missouri Conference on History invites paper, panel, and poster proposals for the 2022 conference.

The sixty-fourth annual Missouri Conference on History, hosted by the Missouri State Archives and sponsored by the State Historical Society of Missouri, will be held March 16-18, 2022, at the Capitol Plaza Hotel and Convention Center in Jefferson City.

Paper, panel, and poster proposals in all fields of history, including public history and historic preservation, are invited. The conference is particularly interested in proposals for complete sessions, including panelists, chair, and commentator. All proposals should be submitted no later than December 10, 2021.

The Missouri Conference on History encourages aspiring and young historians to present their work. In 2022, the Missouri Humanities Council is offering a program of financial assistance to both undergraduate and graduate student presenters. Travel grants will cover the conference registration fee, one night of lodging at the conference hotel, and up to $150 of additional related expenses.

For questions about submitting a proposal, please contact us at mch@shsmo.org or (573) 882-7083.
